Jeans for Genes Day 2026

Thursday 6th August 2026 celebrates Jeans for Genes Day. A day that Australians come together to show their support and raise much needed funds and awareness for children facing birth defects and genetic diseases.

Did you know:

👖1 in 20 children face a birth defect or genetic disease, many being told they are “incurable”

👖The children’s medical research institute was established in 1958 and was the countries first dedicated paediatric research organisation

👖Australia first launched the Jeans for Genes Day campaign in 1994

👖In the time that the research institute has been operating and Jeans for Genes Day campaign has been raising funds, they have raised over $71 million for medical research.
